DYLLIS RUPERT PANNER
[/right]
``the basics
Birth Name;; Dyllis Rupert Panner
Nicknames;; Dyl (Dill), Dyls
Gender;; Male
Age;; 20
Race;; Lumenera
Alliance;; State of the Dream
``the description
Hair;; Blonde, almost bright enough to be white. It's kept short by his make-shift haircuts. It's also scruffy, so you can't tell that it's uneven.
Eyes;; Bright, golden eyes.
Weight;; 121
Height;; 5'4”
Build;; He's quite short, for a man, and doesn't have the biggest muscles in the world.
Skin Color;; A very light tan, so his markings don't make him look completely pale.
Apparel;; He wears the basics, a white shirt and rolled-up brown trousers with sewn-up shoes which had seen better days. He carries with him a coat in case of any cold, cold nights.
Extra;; Dyllis has plenty of markings which are yellow in colour, the most noticeable is the patterned strip running diagonally down his face. His other markings can be faintly seen through his shirt, especially when they glow. Other markings which are particularly noticeable are the ones that go down his arms, as it continues all the way down until it stops at his fingertips.
``the secrets
Personality;; Mature. Sophisticated. Logical. These are some of the words that are never used to describe Dyllis. Although not stupid, he would much rather try out something more daring than do 'the sensible thing'. At first he appears quiet and maybe even shy, but after the initial shock of meeting somebody he quickly becomes his loud self again. His daredevil nature is probably because of how active he is.
If there is one word to perfectly match Dyllis it would be: Curious. He loves to learn about other things, places, plants, animals and other races. Unfortunately this often means that he is caught staring at people, possibly even making a remark that others would find offensive. What interests him the most are the Sindri, simply because of how they look and that they are old. His curiosity often leads him into trouble, and seeing as his guilty conscience is his loudest voice (“What?! I didn't steal nothing!”) it doesn't take a lot for him to be caught.
Dyllis is the lost puppy. If he is with somebody he will look up to them with awe and wonder. Although he might lead them around, he feels a continuous need to impress people. And sucking up to them is just how he does it, despite it actually being quite annoying. He's pretty carefree and easily distracted, so don't expect any serious tasks done any time soon.
Girls. Around any that catch his eye, Dyllis is an idiot. He may act confident, but the blush on his face (and the glowing markings) says otherwise. He has no interest of meeting anybody, he's still young and too childish for what could be called a 'mature relationship'. When he reaches a point where he is completely flustered and can't do anything about it, he gets angry and stubborn.
When night comes, Dyls is almost a completely different person. Not just because he's glowing, but because it brings a calm aura over him. No longer is he shouting and bouncing around, now he is sitting down and telling you to shut the hell up. Maybe it's the lights he grew up with. Maybe it's because he's tired. Or maybe it's just because he likes the dark, and is curious of it.
History;; Dyllis was raised by his grandmother (who, not exactly right in the head, named him after herself) in a Lumenerian village in the outskirts of one of the cities. The village itself was large enough for it to grow and flourish, yet small enough for everybody to know everybody. Growing up in such a tight-knacked environment, Dyllis considered everybody friends and family. Hatred was non existent in his childish eyes. Nothing terribly dramatic ever happened. The most that ever really happened was that a Sindri walked through once. And he watched in awe. When he asked questions, his grandma shook her head and told him not to ask things like that. It's Sindri-Racism.
As he grew older, he felt his grandmother's pressure on him. The pressure to settle down and pass the family name. As he never had any siblings, the focus was directly on him. For once, he didn't like the attention he was receiving and began doing anything to lose it. He dumped the girl he admittedly loved with no regrets and told his grandma that he still had plenty of time and that he was still young. Let's just say that Granny gave up on any hopes of grandchildren after that.
One day Dyllis decided to go to a city. He was curious and had never been to one before, and besides Granny wanted some fabric from the market. The first thing he saw when he stepped out of that village was the real world. On his way there he saw beggars, starving child and the worst of poverty that all societies suffer from. He never made it to the city, instead he came straight home and told Grandma of all the horrible things in the world. She told him that good things are there too. He made it his lifetime-quest to find them.
